Pancakes!

It was 5th Sunday, August 31, so we hosted a pancake breakfast for the congregation. Our turnout was lower than last time because of Labor Day and because Pastor was on vacation. Nonetheless, we had a successful breakfast and everyone had great food to eat. Our next breakfast is scheduled for the 5th Sunday, November 30. It's thanksgiving weekend, but hopefully people will have room for pancakes amongst all that turkey!

What do you know?

For our August social activity, we all piled into Mark and Ashley's apartment for game night. When they got married, lots of us got them board games. (It's called a major hint that we want them to host stuff.) We played a game where we all answer questions about ourselves and then guess who said what. We all gave the game two thumbs up (though you see, I can't remember the name of the game!). We also ordered pizza and had some adult beverages. For our September outing we're heading to Cowtown. It seems that some folks have never been to the rodeo. The tragedy. Time to saddle up!
